We believe that communicating the concepts of science requires empathy; in order to address a lack of understanding, one needs to be familiar with the relative biases. EMERGE envisions a world where scientists and nonscientists understand each other. Science is not purely technical; it is also inherently creative. We want to remind people that technical work should encourage creativity. EMERGE envisions a world where the STEM fields foster this supportive environment and are accessible to all people.
